On September 12, according to the BOE Innovation Collection, BOE (BOE) has upgraded on the basis of COE (color filter on encapsulation) and innovated and developed EIC (Efficiency Induced Carbon Reduction) OLED extremely low-carbon display technology. Through the unique in-screen integration process, OLED display power consumption has been greatly reduced and the endurance of intelligent display terminals has been significantly improved. Recently, it was stunningly unveiled at the BOE IPC 2025 Global Innovation Partner Conference.
At present, in the smartphone industry, COE polarizer-free technology with low-power display advantages has attracted much attention in the industry. COE uses a black matrix and color filter integrated into the display screen to replace the traditional polarizer to reduce the reflection of ambient light, achieve an anti-glare effect and improve the display contrast. While thinning the screen thickness, it reduces
the light loss when the OLED device produces through the polarizer, so as to reduce power consumption.
According to reports, BOE EIC ultimate low-carbon OLED display technology is the first enhancement solution based on COE structure in the industry. Compared with the traditional polarization scheme, EIC can reduce power consumption by 45%. It adopts the optical extraction function layer design independently developed by BOE. While realizing the anti-glare function, the light efficiency can be further increased by 10% on the basis of COE.
Onthe basis of COE, BOE EIC innovatively applies the optical extraction enhancement function layer to further improve the light-out efficiency of COE, reduce power consumption by 45%, and significantly improve the endurance of the OLED screen. It is a milestone technology in the field of flexible OLED display energy saving.
In addition, BOE EIC ultimate low-carbon OLED display technology can reduce the screen thickness by 20% due to the embedded integration process, especially suitable for large-screen flexible OLED folding, curling and other application scenarios, making the intelligent display terminal lighter and more portable.
At the BOE IPC 2025 Global Innovation Partner Conference, the EIC prototype exhibited by BOE is equipped with the industry's leading 7.85-inch flexible f-OLED display module. In addition to the extreme
low-carbon characteristics, it also has a resolution of 2496*2224, and the peak brightness can reach 2200ni. T, the color gamut is as high as BT2020 90%, integrating the four advantages of low power consumption, high resolution, high brightness and high color gamut, empowering the iterative upgrade of intelligent display terminals.
